Soil pH range for plants
1. pH measured on a scale from 1 to 14.
2. Soil pH is a log function. pH of 5 is 10 times more acid than a pH of 6.
3. Best range for most plants: pH 6.0 - 7.5 . Nutrient availability for the majority of cations is good in this range.
