Dr. Tim Rhodus Dr. Rhodus is a Professor of Horticulture and Crop Science at The Ohio State University. He teaches undergraduate courses in horticultural management and using computers. He supervises the graduate work of Master's and Ph.D. students. His current research projects focus on developing horticultural instructional resources which will be accessed by worldwide users via the Internet. Pablo Jourdan Dr. Jourdan collaborated with Dr. Rhodus and Dr. Lyons in writing the grant proposal for this project. He envisions the Internet will have a positive impact on the future of educational development. The materials for the Evolution, Art and Business sections of teaching objectives were extracted from Dr. Jourdan's Horticulture 210 course, Discovering Horticulture. |

Jim Hoskins Jim has worked with Dr. Rhodus since 1990 on a wide range of projects. Jim is developing an Internet web site for the Ohio Division of Forestry. He has a M.S. degree from Ohio State, and a B.A. in History from Lawrence University in Wisconsin. He gardens, golfs and plays squash in his spare time. |

Bud Witney Bud joined the HCS design team in January of 1999. He has a B.S. in Horticulture from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in Landscape Horticulture and a minor in business. He works with filemakerPro database applications to generate Web Publications and maintain the online plant dictionary and factsheets database. Bud is from Pataskala, Ohio, and enjoys sports, computer programming, and his part-time involvement in local government. He is an active participant in several city volleyball leagues. |

Dr. Scott Biggs Scott has contributed many of the images and authored the text files that describe some of the plants found in Plant Dictionary. Formerly an instructor in ornamentals at OSU, he contributes to this website primarily during the winter months. During the long growing season, he takes to the field as the owner of a local landscaping company, installing and maintaining the plants that he photographs and writes about. |

Robert E. Lyons Dr. Lyons holds a B.A. in Biology from Rutgers College of Rutgers University (New Jersey), and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Horticulture from the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities). He teaches courses in the physiology, identification, and landscape use of herbaceous plant materials, and directs the development and daily activities at the VT Horticulture Gardens. He is also a professional photographer specializing in horticultural and nature subjects, with work appearing in books, national magazines and emerging electronic media, including CD technology and the project you're using now. Throughout the development of the project, Dr. Lyons will insure that all the images used are scientifically accurate and of high quality. Recognition for creativity goes to Dr. Lyons for naming our project, Horticulture in Virtual Perspective. |
