The mission of the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science is to discover, synthesize and communicate knowledge about plants and their uses for the benefit of Ohio and the world. The mission is fulfilled through research and educational programs that links advances in fundamental and applied knowledge of food, feed and ornamental plants to improvements in the quality of life and the environment. These programs provide education and service to students, producers, allied industries, professional groups and society.
