Prince, William Robert 1795-1869  

He inherited his father's love of botany and horticulture. He took a prominent part in many horticultural organizations and in 1830 wrote with his father, Treatise on the Vine, a work of great importance. In 1831 he issued Pomological Manual in two volumes, an important treatise on all fruits except apples. This was followed by Manual of Roses in 1846.
