Description:
Flame Grass reaches its most attractive appearance in mid-Autumn (about a week after this image was taken), when its foliage takes on orange and red hues below the shimmering white fruiting stalks, analogous to flames below smoke. This image shows three foreground clumps of Flame Grass in fruit production, with 'Gracillimus' Maiden Grass in full flower in the center background.
