Posting Assignments

The purpose of the posting assignments is to learn the technical side of posting to the class message board forums. Each student is requested to make two postings to the message board.

Directions for posting:

    1. From the class home page click on the Class Discussion icon
    2. Click on the underlined text "Golf forum" under the Forum column. (Choose Gardens forum for Assignment #2)
    3. Click on the compose button.
    4. Click in the Subject box and type "My favorite golf course is (then type your answer). Example, "My favorite golf course is Royal County Down".
    5. Click in the large box below Subject and type your message.
    6. Click on Post button.
    7. You have now posted a new message that the entire class can read.
    8. Click on Home button to go back to class home page.

      You are also welcome to pose your own question to the class, share general comments with fellow students, or respond to someone else's comments. Ideally, we would like to start a dialog using the message board as a tool.

Assignment #1

After reading each of the pages in the section on Irish golf courses, answer this question and post your response to the Golf fourm:

Of the golf courses pictured here, which one would you most like to visit, and why? If you are motivated, can you find any more information on the web about the course you've selected that you would like to share with the class. Do you have any general comments to share about golf in Ireland?

Assignment #2

After reading each of the pages in the section on Irish gardens, answer this question and post your response to the Gardens forum:

Of the gardens pictured here, which one would you most like to visit, and why? If you are motivated, can you find any more information on the web about the garden you've selected that you would like to share with the class? Do you have any general comments to share about gardens in Ireland?

 

Test Your Knowledge

After reading all of the course material on golf and gardens, check you knowledge by answering the 20 questions contained in the "Test Your Knowledge" section of the course. Correct and incorrect answers will be presented but you can take the test as many times as you like. Only your highest score will be saved.
