Mineral Nutrients |
|
| Potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and Magnesium (Mg) are taken up in free form as positively charged ions. The other major nutrients are taken up in combined form as negatively charged ions: nitrogen (N) as nitrate, phosphorus (P) as phosphate, and sulfur (S) as sulfate. Nitrogen can also be taken up as the positively charged ammonium ion. The micronutrients are iron (Fe), chlorine (Cl), copper (Cu), manganese (Mn), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo) and boron (Bo). |
