Thursday, 20 July 2000. Our
Study Abroad Program has come to an end. In the morning, we gathered
to celebrate our experience at Myerscough. We were fortunate to have
Prof. John Moverley, College Principal (above left) join us for
a few words of farewell; he then presented each of the participants
(including Mother Hen!) with a certificate of completion (above right).
The cast of this wonderful
6 weeks can be seen below. It is doubtful that a finer group of students
and staff could be assembled. As Andy Taaffe said to the students: 'You
have been remarkable ambassadors for your institution and your country.
We truly enjoyed having you here.' I can add, and I know without a doubt
that the feeling is shared by all the students, that better ambassadors
for Myerscough, the profession of Landscape Horticulture, and Britain
than Graeme, Andy, John, Tom, and Chris (seated) would be very
hard to find. These five individuals, along with Peter, Margaret, Apostole,
the kitchen staff (Ian, Kathy, Sarah, Karen, and many others) and all
the people at Myerscough have provided us with unforgettable memories.
We thank them all.
