Old Trafford Manchester
Part of our acculturation to England must involve sports. While I believe that to truly understand England one must understand cricket (and we have a ways to go there yet), to feel the boundless passion for a team, typical of many Englanders, one must visit the current Mecca to football (soccer) which is the Old Trafford or the stadium for the Manchester United Football Club. At the moment, Manchester United is the most successful English football club, with a national and international following. We were given a tour of the stadium and a synopsis of the history of the club.

While some of us found the visit quite fascinating, others politely came along and wondered... what do people see in soccer anyway? For some of us, the highlight was sitting in the home team's locker room... (sans players changing outfits, that is).
