Horticultural Display Areas

.

A wonderful display area is shown above and below with the pond and plant materials adapted for wet or very moist conditions. The display is not only attractive, but also incorporates a wide diversity of plant material.

The Horticultural Display area at Myerscough College offers not only an appropriate learning environment for students, demonstrated by the grouping of plants along educational themes, but also provides a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the plants. One can spend quite some time examining the plants through the season and observe the often dramatic change that occurs in them as the temperature warms up and the days grown longer. Similarly striking changes occur as the days shorten and the seasons return to the cooler cycle.

The woodland garden, shown below, is alive with bluebells in early May.
