PLANTS ON THE WALLS OF CONWY

In many places the walls of Conwy are enhanced by plants, although they tend to be most abundant in the places that have not been recently "improved". When I visited Kentranthus ruber (right) was particularly conspicuous. Antirrhinum majus (below) was less frequent. In many places there were miniature gardens of Sedum anglicum and ferns such as Polypodium vulgare, Adiantum capillis-veneris, and Asplenium ruta-muraria. These are all in the picture below, right.
